“I’ve been playing drums for over 30 years, most notably with Galactic but, also many solo albums. Growing up in New Orleans, I was fortunate enough to have some of the greatest drum mentors and teachers in the world, especially for jazz, funk, brushes, second line drumming and many other styles as well. I’m as passionate about teaching drums as I am about playing. Recently, I decided to modernize my approach to teaching and created a platform where I can finally answer all the questions I get about my approach to the drums.

SMDA is the perfect online drum learning platform for any level drummer to learn how to play the drums the same way I did, with the advantage of having me road test the material on hundreds of stages, and dozens of studio sessions every year. SMDA is the exact same approach to practice and learning that I use today both on stage and in the studio.
