Ollie Winiberg is the main stage host for both The UK Drum Show and The Europe Drum Show and the content manager for Drummers Review. As part of his role with Drummer’s Review, Ollie leads exclusive interviews with world-renowned drummers, bringing fans closer to the stories, techniques, and personalities that shape the industry.
He also hosts the official podcasts for both The UK Drum Show and The Europe Drum Show. In 2024, The UK Drum Show Podcast ranked within the top 15% of video podcasts globally, reflecting Ollie’s engaging style and ability to connect with artists and audiences alike.
Before stepping fully into the drumming world, Ollie built a respected broadcasting career with the BBC, presenting from 2007 to 2021. He frequently appeared on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6Music, The World Service and spent over a decade as a voice on BBC Introducing, championing emerging talent. In addition, in 2021, he created and hosted The Heavy Hooks Show—a podcast dedicated to riff-heavy music—which reached the top 10% of most shared podcasts on Spotify.
Away from the microphone, Ollie is a passionate drummer himself. He proudly endorses Vic Firth sticks and plays Zildjian cymbals exclusively. His drumming journey recently led to him playing for Dream Theater keyboard player, Jordan Rudess on his most recent single “Timelines Collide”.
Driven by his love for rhythm and conversation, Ollie continues to build bridges between drummers and audiences, whether on stage, on air, or behind the kit.
