See performer & teacher Tommy Igoe plus BBCSO Percussion and Royal Marines Band on Sunday 5 May

HEADLINER: TOMMY IGOE

American jazz drummer Tommy Igoe is our special guest, bringing 25 years of Big Band experience to the RCM stage. A world-class musician living in San Francisco, he has long been recognised as one of the finest drummers in the world. Watch him perform with the RCM Big Band this year, and hear his expert tips on technique and versatility at his exclusive clinic.

ALSO STARRING…

Don’t miss the exciting launch to this year’s festival by the MWWP Band featuring Neal Wilkinson. They’ll be performing their own unique take on tunes from Stevie Wonder, via The Beatles, to some cool blues.

Get involved with the BBC Symphony Orchestra Percussion and Timpani Sections as they invite you to join them in their favourite moments from the orchestral repertoire.

Join us later in the day to hear one of the most in demand UK session musicians Rob Farrer present a detailed look into creating music for the movies before the band of the Royal Marines performs with RCM marching drums and percussionists.

AND MORE!

There will be even more on offer for younger visitors this year, with our fantastic Junior Ensemble Showcase and family-focussed lunchtime concert.

Try our jam-packed trade fair, and make some music in family workshops featuring marching drums, cajón and tuned instruments, plus special gamelan sessions (entry first-come, first-served).

Tickets start at just £10, or £5 for students.
