Gretsch New Orleans Round Badge Summit

The Gretsch Drums Round Badge Dealer summit in New Orleans, which took place on June 12th 2019 at the world-class Parlor recording Studios, came to a stunning conclusion at Tipitina’s with a concert performance directed by Stanton Moore, with Keith Carlock and an all-star band.

The summit event was attended by key DW & Gretsch Drums staff including special appearances by Fred Gretsch (4th Generation family member) and Chris Lombardi (President, Drum Workshop).

Jazz, funk and rock drummer Stanton Moore is a native of New Orleans and a founding member of the band Galactic. Known for his explosive groove he was the perfect host and demonstrator for the Gretsch products. Joining him to present Gretsch’s drums was Keith Carlock (Steely Dan), the perfect accompaniment to Moore with his own take on rock and fusion. These two drummers, who perform so naturally together, played impeccably as they showed an assortment of current USA factory instruments plus sneak previews of future releases!

Supporting this amazing drumming duo was a band featuring Tony Hall (Bass), David Torkanowsky (Keys), Ian Neville(Vocals), Robert Mercurio (Bass), Brad Walker (Saxophone) and the Hornstars.

To see and hear our instruments played by two amazing drummers,’ said Andrew Shreve, Gretsch Brand and Artist Relations manager ‘was an incredibly exciting way to demonstrate that great Gretsch sound. The evening’s concert with the star-studded band was an outstanding end to an exceedingly successful day.’
