Here at Drummer’s Review, we’re always on the lookout for something a little different, and the MHADLY ONE certainly caught our attention. Designed to reduce unwanted vibration travelling through your drumsticks, this small device could offer a welcome benefit for drummers who spend hours behind the kit.

The concept is refreshingly simple. Weighing approximately 3.5 grams, the MHADLY ONE attaches around your drumstick, just outside your normal grip zone. Its elastic construction is designed to intercept unwanted vibrations without significantly changing the way the stick feels or how you play.
Inside the box, you’ll find two MHADLY ONE devices and four Magic Rings, which help keep everything correctly positioned. The system can be fitted and removed without glue or tools, and versions are available for 7A, 5A, 5B and 2B sticks. It’s also compatible with both wooden and composite drumsticks.
So, does it actually work?
Having tried the MHADLY ONE ourselves, the biggest difference was noticeable when playing cymbals, particularly the hi-hat and, most significantly, the ride.
If you’re someone who spends a long time playing the ride cymbal, you’ll know that unwanted stick vibration can become uncomfortable over time. In our experience, the MHADLY ONE made a substantial difference, with an estimated 90–95% reduction in the unwanted vibration we felt. That’s a particularly impressive result from something so small.
We also found that, when positioned correctly, the device didn’t interfere with rim shots or noticeably change the sound of the drums and cymbals.
MHADLY has put the product through laboratory testing, reporting an immediate reduction in vibration of at least 50%. The company also states that the elastic device can potentially last through changes to around three pairs of drumsticks, although its lifespan will depend on playing style and impact.
Alongside the MHADLY ONE, the company also offers its own composite drumsticks, reinforced with carbon fibre. Unlike traditional wooden sticks, these are completely hollow. Our studio testing revealed a noticeable tonal difference compared with wooden sticks, particularly on rim shots, but their construction certainly makes them an interesting alternative.
Could the MHADLY ONE be a game changer?
For drummers looking to reduce unwanted vibration without fundamentally changing their sticks, we think it’s a product worth investigating. Sometimes, the best innovations aren’t about changing how we play, but making playing more comfortable.
Welcome to the drumming community, MHADLY!
