The UK Drum Show Announce Big Names And New Features For 2020

The UK Drum Show has this week announced further big-name artists to be joining their 2020 line-up as well as a huge new features set to run across the weekend of 26 & 27 September 2020.

Joining confirmed artists Ankia Nilles and Jost Nickel will be UK drumming powerhouse Eddy Thrower, as well as US drumming icon and worldwide educator supremo Mike Johnston, who not only will be appearing on the main stage, but will also be joining The UK Drum Show team as resident host of the new Education Room.

Eddy Thrower

Eddy Thrower is probably best known as drummer of top UK rock band Lower Than Atlantis, as well as recently touring with Dua Lipa and Busted. Prior to this and even still, he is also one of the UK’s busiest session players, working with such artists as, One Direction, 5 seconds of summer, and Linkin Park, as well as playing on records for movies, and TV adverts. Eddy has also toured and performed with artists such as Blink 182, Linkin Park, You Me At Six and A Day to Remember.

His band Lower Than Atlantis is always a favourite on the UK festival circuit and they have played Reading and Leeds an unprecedented four times, Download Festival twice, Boardmasters twice, Rock Am Ring and Graspop to name but a few. Eddy will appearing on the main-stage on Saturday 26 September in association with Tama Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Premark Drumsticks and Evans Drumheads.

Mike Johnston

As one of the world’s foremost drum educators, Mike Johnston needs very little introduction: he currently runs one of the world’s largest educational websites for drummers, Mikeslessons.com, where he offers live and pre-recorded drum lessons. He also hosts 10 drum camps each year at the Mikeslessons.com studio in Folsom California. Alongside this, Mike has taught and performed at hundreds of clinics and drum festivals over the past 13 years including the Meinl Drum Festival, P.A.S.I.C., The UK Drum Show, The LaBag Show in Paris, and countless others. Mike will be appearing on the main-stage on Saturday 26 September.

Furthermore, not only will Mike be showcasing his immense skills on the main stage, he will also be joining The UK Drum Show team as the resident host of the new Education Room.

This new feature for 2020 (and beyond) will see Mike, along with a host of further world-class drum educators at the very top of their game, delivering FREE lessons over the course of the weekend, giving visitors the chance to truly learn from the Pros. Each lesson is scheduled to last 45 minutes, and places are strictly limited to just 150 per session. Pre-booking is required, with registration for places opening soon.

PLEASE NOTE that in order to partake in any of the lessons, a general admission ticket for The UK Drum Show is required.
