The Avedis Zildjian Company, parent company of Vic Firth, is pleased to announce the release of the Mike Johnston Custom Collaboration American Classic NE-1 sticks.
Mike Johnston has shared his musical mind as a world-renowned online educator since 2014. In tune with the constant journey of the student drummer, Mike knew he needed to create a stick that could get out of your way and leave you with no excuses for progressing on your journey. That is why he partnered with Vic Firth to design a pair of sticks optimized with a longer taper for balance, a modified barrel tip for response, and a diameter between a 5A and 5B for comfort. The American classic NE-1 makes it easier.
Mike pored over every design choice possible to find a tip shape, taper, length, diameter, material, and overall performance that would combine to make the best possible stick for your growth. Crafted with made-in-the-USA hickory wood, the American Classic NE-1 offers a strong tried and true composition.

Boasting an 18” Bass Drum, 10” Tom, 14” Floor Tom, 13” Snare and integrated cymbal stand, the smaller footprint doesn’t compromise on quality or playability. The kit comes complete with hardware, throne, sticks and is quick and easy to set up to allow players to perform in tight spaces with minimal preparation.
With the slogan “This is for Performers”, the GEWA G5 is aimed at the advanced drummer who wants to fully focus on their performance rather than the technical refinements and possibilities of an electronic drum kit. 
The technological basis is the same as for the GEWA G9. This means that no compromises are made in terms of sound and trigger behavior with the GEWA G5. The G5 uses the exact same sound library and is 100% compatible with components of the GEWA G9. 
The kit comprises a 20″x14″ kick drum, 13″x06″ dual-zone snare pad, 10″x06″ dual-zone tom pad, 12″x06″ dual-zone tom pad, 14″x12″ dual-zone tom pad, 13″ dual-zone hi-hat pad with a controller, 2x 15″ dual-zone crash pad with choke, 18″ triple-zone ride pad.
The MPS-1000 comes with 40 preset kits, which cover a wide range of genres. In addition to meticulously sampled acoustic drums and cymbals, you’ll find a l arge number of authentic percussion sounds, as well as dynamic and punchy electronic sounds. With 40 additional memory slots for user kits, you can create your own combinations from the 820 sounds and add your own samples and loops. For practising, the MPS-1000 includes 70 play-along songs from a variety of styles. The internal recorder lets you record up to 15 songs of your own.
